Through Hell

I finally got a marathon completed. It was a really tough marathon and probably shouldn't have been my first one to do. It's called the Paavo Nurmi Marathon and Runner's World has it rated in the top 5 difficult marathons for beginners. Go big or go home I guess. It was fun and I felt good for the first half, but I ran way too hard and completely died on the second half. There were many miles that I just wanted to be able to just give in, but I'm way too damn stubborn for that. I finished in a time of 4 hours and 18 minutes, but I can best that by over an hour next year if I do it. I just wasn't properly trained this year. I had rolled my ankle exactly a week before and I had to stay off and couldn't run the whole week before it. There is always next year. We camped at the Black River campsite every year we go there. It was Coach Gannon, Coach Ostrenga, his son Josh, Jared Ogren, Carl Morrison, Andy Verhamme, Greg Ostrenga, Mike Ostrenga, and This guy from Menominee and his name is Tom I think. we only camped one night, I didn't mind cause I just wanted to get back anyways. Sam is moving her stuff in right now as I type this entry and I hate my neighbor's fucking little Nissan truck. It sounds like a little shitty Civic with no power. Well gotta take care of bills today.
